Mississippi Rural Health Coalition
Southwest Mississippi Rural Health
Coalition serves the rural counties of Adams, Amite, Clairborne,
Franklin, Jefferson, Lawrence, Lincoln, Pike, Walthall, and Wilkinson
representing a population of 204,289. The municipalities of Alcorn State,
Brookhaven, Bude, Centreville, Fayette, Liberty, McComb, Meadville,
Monticello, Natchez, Osyka, Port Gibson, Tylertown, and Woodville are
included within the coalition's service area. The United States
Congressional Districts for Mississippi served by the coalition include
districts MS02 and MS03. The Coalition was established in 1994 and
incorporated in 1998 as a non- profit agency. The coalition has a
membership exceeding three hundred professionals, health care
providers, youth leaders and others desiring to improve public health
and address the health needs of our citizens.
